Limited Scope Representation

Assisted Self-Representation

$1,500/month + GST

Limited space! (availability for only 4 more clients)

Also known as "legal coaching" or "limited scope retainer" I take a background role in your legal endeavours and offer advice and assistance.

This service includes

Storage and organization of the documentation you collect and forward to me (texts, emails, photos, reports);
Advice on procedure and next steps;
Up to one email per week with a legal opinion on your facts;
Free commissioner for oaths/notary public services for your matter; and
Additional work (legal research, drafting documents, preparation for court appearances, attendance at court appearances) at the Legal Aid rate of $125 per hour.

This does not include

Correspondence with the opposing party or opposing counsel on your behalf;
Attendance at Court on your behalf

Independent Legal Advice (ILA) on separation agreements

$750 + GST if drafted by a lawyer

$1,500 + GST if self drafted

Agreements are formalized by meeting with a lawyer to review the document and complete a Certificate of Independent Legal Advice.

Separation Agreement - Joint Retainer

$2,500 + GST

(can be broken down into $1,750 for the agreement and $750 for ILA for one party)

If you and your ex are in agreement on all of the terms of your separation I will prepare it for you. Both parties should get their own independent legal advice. I can provide ILA for one person if both of you agree.

Joint Desk Divorce Documents

$1,500 + GST

Preparation of documents required to submit to Court for a desk divorce. Execution of the documents with you. Service on the other party for their signature. Submission of the documents to the Court and troubleshooting any additional documents or information the Court requires before granting a Divorce Judgement.
